Shona and Chelsea’s wedding at Fasque Castle was one of those days that just felt good to be around, relaxed, full of energy, and properly joyful from start to finish.
The morning had that nice, busy hum you get in big houses like Fasque. Chelsea got ready in the Powder Room with her people, while Shona was tucked away in the Library with family and friends. There was plenty of laughter, a few nerves, and a lot of excitement building as the ceremony got closer.
They were married in Fasque’s grand hall and staircase, which always makes for a brilliant ceremony space. From the flower girl leading the way to both bridal parties meeting on the stairs before walking down together, it all flowed really naturally. When Shona and Chelsea finally came together under the arch, it was a genuinely emotional moment, one of those pauses where everything else just drops away.
The rest of the day was very much about spending time with their guests rather than sticking to a tight schedule. Drinks, conversations, and lots of catching up filled the afternoon, before everyone gathered later on for speeches that were funny, heartfelt, and full of personality.
There were also some really thoughtful touches throughout the day, quietly remembering those who couldn’t be there.
It was a wedding that didn’t try too hard, just two people, surrounded by the right people, having a really great day.
